COVID Emergency Rental Assistance

THAW is a partner for the COVID Emergency Relief Assistance (CERA) program.

Rental and utility relief assistance funds are available today!

Low-income households in Wayne County who have experienced hardship due to the COVID-19 pandemic can apply now.

Hardship includes:

-Changes in unemployment income

-A loss of income

-Increases expenses due to the pandemic

-Past-due utility bills, rent notice, or economic hardship

You can qualify for up to 12 months of back rent assistance, with 3 months of forward rent assistance.

Utility assistance is also available for water, sewer, heat, and electricity.
